School Garden seeks garden intern

Join staff and students at the Gilmore City-Bradgate School Garden this summer to have the amazing opportunity for a hands-on experience to learn how to grow plants to eat, flowers, bees and more!! Get an inside look at community involvement, leadership, planning and preparation for future events and fundraisers, as well as lesson planning for elementary gardening classes from the Humboldt County Conservation Teacher of the Year, Iowa Conservation Education Coalition (ICEC) Teacher of the Year and Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist.

Hours are flexible, up to 20 hours per week (for June, July and August). Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

Prepare to get your hands dirty, and to open your mind to the possibilities of incorporating gardening in a public school setting.
