2024 Iowa conservation Game Jam Winners Announced

Last winter, Iowa students in grades 3-12 were challenged to develop games that help people learn about Iowa’s endangered species, prairies, invasive species, soil conservation, renewable energy, and water quality in Iowa.  The Game Jam competition is sponsored yearly by the Iowa Conservation Education Coalition and allows student teams to design analog games (card games, board games, role playing games) or digital games.

Each team of students developed a 4-minute video demonstration of their prototype for review by science and game experts who judged the submission in age and game type categories.  41 game submissions were judged this year from 10 schools around the state.  A complete list of winners of the 2024 Iowa Game Jam can be found at https://iowaee.org/ee-science-in-iowa/game-jam/.
