Teaching Outdoor Skills: Archery and Bowfishing

Learn basic archery and archery instructional skills, as well as bowfishing basics in this hands-on class. Participants will receive National Archery in the Schools and Explore Bowfishing instructional materials. Meals/materials fee includes lunch both days, curriculum materials, and workshop supplies and fees. $75 materials/lunch fee due with registration. Class will meet 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on June 20 and 21. Teaching Outdoor Skills: An Introduction to Basic Outdoor Skills

Participate in a variety of basic outdoor skills and teaching resources/methodologies. Receive introductory instruction and lesson plans for planning outings, map reading, hiking, paddling, fishing, archery, campfire cooking, and basic firearm safety/shooting. Teaching Outdoor Skills: Fish Iowa! Basic Fishing

This two-day workshop will acquaint participants with the Fish Iowa! Basic Spincasting teaching module and a variety of other resources to teach fishing in a variety of settings. Participants will learn fishing basics including fish identification, fishing locations, casting techniques, and cleaning and cooking fish.
